How We Work

Detailed From The Start

Our process starts with a free call, where we learn more about your organization, teams, customers, and your whys. Once the project is clearer, we create a full project plan with timelines, dependencies, and pricing. Project management is included at no additional charge.

We map check-in and approval points as well so that you are in the loop and included at important decision points.

Your project plan will be delivered as a board with responsibilities, dependencies, hours, labor cost, and any additional expenses. This makes timing, pricing, and what might block or slow the project down clear. We also deliver it as a Gantt chart for more of a timeline view.

We provide our hourly or daily rates so you know what the pricing was based on. We don’t hide this in a vague “project total,” where you have no idea how the consultancy or agency arrived at that number.

We know that clients hate to be surprised by changes to scope, timing, etc. We are so confident in our project estimations that our policy is that if the scope of the project doesn’t change, the estimated price is your “fixed price” total. If we use more hours than we estimated, that’s our problem, and you are not billed for that time.

We Help You Design The Future

We hear a lot of stories about other consultancies and agencies… they came in, ran a lot of workshops, dropped a slide deck, and sent their invoice. We’ve even heard stories about the consultancies and agencies that:

  • Burned teams’ and leadership’s time re-running workshops when the consultancy didn’t get the answers they hoped to hear, or forgot to cover topics.
  • Delivered a $150,000 report that told a job application website to “think more like Airbnb” and copy Airbnb because Airbnb is successful. Sure, but not at job applications.
  • Promised AI transformation, but started the project by asking your workers how they’d like to use AI, not by understanding workers’ tasks, decisions, or where their workflows have room for improvement.
  • Overcharged for a high-level customer journey map built from internal assumptions, and difficult to act on.
  • Sold “user research” without a single qualified CX/UX Researcher working for the agency. The report was 36 pages of, “Four people said this, three people would want this, and six people answered like this.” The client had no idea what to do next.

These agencies and consultancies leave clients like you wondering if you could have done a better job yourself for a lot less money.

Delta CX uses workshops minimally and only where they deliver real value to you, us, and the project. We know that creativity and innovation happen when human brains are allowed the freedom to make fresh connections. This is less likely to happen in scheduled meetings, timed exercises, and scripted games.

We are mindful of your time. We are there to help you better connect to your target audiences, make product and service improvements, and create an evidence-based strategy. We’re there to help you design the future.

You Might Wonder

Does Delta CX work 100% remotely?

It depends on the project. Most of our clients don’t need us to visit them in their offices. We can do nearly all of our work remotely, through online collaboration tools, and video call meetings.

But sometimes, we travel if the research requires us to be on-site or in-person with our participants.

Our clients are around the world, often from the USA, Canada, the UK, and various EU projects including for companies in Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany. We have also done projects for companies in Africa and the Gulf Coast.

We often work asynchronously, but adjust our availability for the time zones where you and the research participants are.

Who will do our project?

People who ask us that have often been burned by companies who brought leaders and veterans to meetings, and then gave the project to juniors, recent grads, and newbies.

When we plan your project, we will tell you who will work on it. You will meet those people. Nobody at Delta CX is a faceless, anonymous mystery person.

Delta CX Founder and CXO Debbie Levitt works on most projects herself, and brings in others based on the size, timeline, and language of the project.

What does Delta CX charge? Can we afford you?
We don’t publicly share rates since they vary based on the project and the type of work you need. Rates vary based on the project type and team composition. We keep things simple: two title levels, Leads and Assistants, each with their own rates.

Clients normally come to us with a budget in mind. We love to say yes. We do what we can to come in around that budget while maintaining the quality you need and expect us to deliver.

Some of our projects are under $10,000 USD. Most are $20K-$50K. Most projects take around 3 weeks. Some clients need PPP pricing due to their location and budget.

Delta CX runs lean. We don’t have overhead such as offices. We don’t advertise. You’re not paying for anybody’s private jet.

We believe in equity. We pay our staff by title and level, not by where people are located. An Assistant is paid the same whether they are in the USA, Armenia, London, or India. Let’s raise people up, and pay them fairly.

How does Delta CX communicate during a project?

As much or as little as you prefer. Some clients want daily updates. Some might want weekly updates. We’ll update you on your preferred cadence. Our project plan (board and Gantt chart) are always updated.

We currently work through Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, etc), but can use your preferred system.

Does Delta CX only conduct research in English?

No. The best practice is to speak to research participants in the language in which they will use your system. If your system is in German, our Researcher will be fluent in German.

We had a February 2026 project to learn how Italians select hosting companies. All of the research sessions were conducted in Italian by a native speaker. Reporting and other client communications were in English.

Will our project be confidential?

Absolutely. When we share case studies, they are often anonymous and generalized so that your secrets are yours. Some people share these secrets behind a password. We don’t share them at all.

Confidentiality is built into our contract, and how we work.

What if the scope changes during the project?

No problem! We will reconfigure the project plan (board and Gantt chart), and get your written approval on timing and pricing changes.

These happen all the time, and don’t bother us at all.

What does Delta CX deliver at the end of the project?

Whatever you and your teams and leadership need that best tells the stories and presents actionable suggestions. For most clients, this is usually one or more of the following:

  • Slide deck for our report including insights and actionable suggestions.
  • Problem statements, root causes, and evidence from the research.
  • Maps and diagrams, current and future or optimized states, such as ecosystem maps, task analysis, service blueprints, and journey maps.
  • Video clip montages or reels with some of the most interesting things we saw and heard from participants.
  • Spreadsheets of problems found or suggested changes.

We’ll deliver whatever you need, and not bother with anything you don’t.
